The Site Development Process
At Red Sage Communications, the most important part of our website design and development process is listening to our customers. We involve our customers throughout every aspect of the website design process to create a website that will best meet their needs.
Our web design process
With the exception of our most basic template websites, we use the following process to design and develop our customers' websites.
Step 1. The Web Session
This 3-4 hour session is one of the most useful tools that we have when it comes to web design. During the session, we determine site goals and research ways to approach navigation, layout and content.
Step 2. Creating a Site Map
The site map outlines every page on the website and how the pages will flow and fit together. The site map provides the structure for the design and content of the website.
Step 3. Developing the Content
We can write the content for you. We employ several seo copywriting techniques when developing content.
Step 4. Designing the Website
Prior to programming, we create a mock-up of the website’s home page and often an interior page. This allows you to see how the website will look and how the navigation structure will work.
Step 5. Building out the Site
During this part of the process, we build out the individual pages of the site, adding graphics and content. We also program, customize and install any web applications.
Step 6. Going Live
The last step of our website process is the public revealing of the site so that everyone can see your new look.
