The April tornados that came through North Alabama affected many of the communities that Red Sage works in. In support of disaster relief efforts, Red Sage paid its staff to volunteer for a day with Red Cross of Morgan and Lawrence Counties. The staff members were sent out to communities in Lawrence County to deliver supplies to residents in the hard-hit areas from the storms.

Having seen the damage first-hand, the Red Sage staff was deeply moved by those who suffered loss during the storms and by the communities that were banding together to rebuild. Ellen said, "It is hard to find the words to describe the damage. Looking at photos on our computers was much different from walking throught he debris and talking to people who were affected. We were inspired by the strength and hopeful attitudes of the people we met who lost so much."

Red Sage would like to encourage other companies and individuals to provide continued support for disaster relief. Volunteers are needed at Red Cross and other nonprofit organizations.
